Title: It's the Autumn Equinox
Post by: mumofstig on September 22, 2018, 15:38
tomorrow, exactly half day and half night, half way between mid-summer and mid-winter.
Although, as the heating turned itself on today, It feels nearer to winter to me  ::)  :D

Time to carry on preserving food for winter and to think about starting on those crafty jobs for the mid-winter festival that we aren't allowed to mention yet

We have enough Bramley apple sauce to supply most of Thurnham! Regular visits to a local fishmonger for fish caught the night before at a very reasonable price, lots of beef and pork plus half a lamb from next door all safely frozen down, and some veg to harvest means we are quite nicely set up thank you. I love Autumn as it's a time to reflect on the year and the air is clean and fresh.
