Just make sure the pots don't freeze in the winter though

No No you've got it all wrong..I love Alchemilla.....you can never have too much of a good thing unless you'd call that 'snow in summer' cerastium(?) stuff that takes over the rockery a good thing...can't stand that
but I can't seem to get rid of it
