I bought my 4 ladies a boredom ball on ebay for £2.49 including postage.

They absolutely love it,  I stuffed it full of dandelions this morning and it kept them happy for ages. all 4 of them ducking and diving until it was empty, if I just throw the leaves into the pen they are not that bothered.  They seem to like the challenge and I know their getting their greens.

I have dangling versions, got them for the rabbits, but the chooks love them as well. Really good for all small animals, and cats who join in just to play
