I've recently sown some overwintering leaves in the ground outside and they will probably need a cloche at some point. I plan to sow more in pots or tubs in the greenhouse once the toms are done.

That's very adventurous Sparky!   Are you going to heat it at all, or see what happens?  You will have to keep us updated on their progress.

I don't usually grow much in my poly in the winter, just stick a load of poultry manure in there, but I keep meaning to have a go.

One year I grew a load of perpetual spinach in there for the chickens, but as we had such wet weather, we made a walkway from the chicken run to the polytunnel and let them in there!

The spinach didn't last them very long!

Just see what happens Grannie  :) It's never worth trying to heat it !

I'm not sure about carrots, coriander or beetroot, but the rest should do well, just don't forget some ventilation, don't want them to start rotting  :)

Me too- just needed to get something new going.  Mizuna/spinach/lettuces and pak choi in guttering.  Watercress and parsley and kale are up and running and I only sowed them 2 weeks ago.

Cues still producing well after I lugged the huge pot into the greenhouse too.

40 mins at the depot today to find that Parcel force has lost my broad bean seeds  >:( !.... I was looking forward to getting them in as a green manure sometime soon too.
