What defines 'exhibition' growing? How does it differ from regular growing?

This does not include a small local or allotment show.

I'll give it a go - hope this year is better for pumpkins mine were very small last year.

They need to be able to sprawl a long way - I grow squashes round the edge of other beds.

Just the one entry, the 'prettiest pumpkin' poll is something of a consolation prize for the people who can't manage to grow a big'un
