2 poundstretcher rose arches - £6 each - linked with bamboos and netting. You get a bean tunnel for over your path. (Not my idea but if it works I'll put up a pic).
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I've seen a picture in a magazine of beans growing over arches, looked good with the beans hangig down and the red flowers.  Good luck with it noshed!

I grow french beans on arches. 2 old rose arches, linked with bamboo canes to form a tunnel. Works well. Not over a path though, just on one of the plots. Do move it around every year too.

I just use teepees or is it tipis made up of 8 foot bamboo poles for climbing beans.  Bit boring I suppose, but they do look quite nice when they're covered.
One chap made a bean support with a stout wooded pole from which strings were taken down to pegs and the beans grew up the string. Reminded me of a Maypole.
