"... A Host of Golden Daffodils"

Don't forget to put a description with your photo!

Prize –Apart from being the envy of your friends, the winner will get 2 of John & Val's books of their choice. We've also got a few other books if you prefer.

Spring flowers, blossom, birds, lambs, or anything else that just happens in Spring.

You may have up to 3 entries BUT only one picture per post, please.

This competition will run until 13th 27th May - with voting open to all members for one week after that.

The simple rules:

  • You can enter one photograph per post into the competition which should be no more than 640 pixels wide.
  • It can be anything you want to do with spring flowers, blossom, birds, lambs, or anything else that just happens in Spring.  This year's pictures would be great but you can use ones from previous years as long as you took them yourself and they have not been used in any other competition.
  • It should be accompanied by a short title and some description.
  • The competition is open to all Members
  • At the closing date we will add a poll for members to vote on and the most popular photo will be the winner.
  • The winners will receive a prize as listed above and the winning photo may be placed in a permanent photo gallery along with the best runners up.
  • Closing Date for Entries: 13th 27th May 2016 voting will then be allowed to all members for one week after which the results will be posted.

I am glad about that too as my daffs have mainly gone over now.

Here is the apple blossom on our cooking apple tree on the new plot

(Early May --- I have swapped this photo from the one I entered previously)

I have a 2nd entry  :)

A friend turned up yesterday bearing these as a gift and I thought the buds were particularly full for dafffs.  They have opened into stunning fragrant flowers that I am really rather taken with.  I may have to track some bulbs down and buy some this autumn  :D

And my second entry is now this:

A cowslip, growing in the garden. Dad grew the original plants from a packet of seed I gave him many years ago.

I changed my mind yet again and took off my third entry, to replace it with this:

Tulips on our Plot. These have done us proud for weeks!

Snappy

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.
