I have a Stihl FS 45 strimmer and am using the correct 2mm line (Green).
The line is continually breaking inside the head leading to a rethreading procedure.
Sometimes is OK for 10 minutes, sometimes with thick stalks only 2. Line is "Yardman" bought from a garden centre .
Any ideas as to cause?

It could have become brittle if it was hanging around a bit before you bought it?

I always buy Stihl line for mine. Never a problem. Although it is an fs80 which uses the orange line. I've heard others buy cheaper stuff and had problems with brittleness.
