How far is Wakefield matt? Is that your nearest?

I searched for nearest to Sheffield and it came up with branches all over the north of England..... and Leicester.  :blink:

yep i searched too, and the wakefield store is the closest to me! just googled it and it will take approx 40 mins to get there, and because i cant drive yet i would have to get my dad to take me, and he complains if i want to go somewhere 10 mins away, so ive got no chance  ::) :lol:

oh well ive got a wilko's down the road and they usually have a big garden sale towards the end of the year, so i cant complain too much!

I'm off work this week as well - whoop whoop whoop - now that's timing :D

Supposed to be a bit wet tomorrow so that's a good excuse to hit the 50p seed sale.  I'm going to sort my seed box tonight so I can be really disciplined and only buy what I need  :nowink:  :lol:

Just got  back from Wyevale, I think I was quite reserved in spending just £5 on seed!  I bought the following:
* 3 x tomato (sungold, tigerella, sweet n'neat - fancied trying the latter)
* sweet pepper
* Shallot
* red onion
* sunflower selection (usually £4.50)
* baby beetroot
* wild strawberry
Can't remember what the 10th item was - which is really rather frustrating and the packets are in my car!

They seemed to have plenty of variety -  I was looking at chillis, peas and beans & some different carrot seeds but I was running out of time as I had to get back to work so those remained on the shelves.  One thing I couldn't fine was any white spring onions, looking for lisbon (I left my half packed out in the rain after the last sowting of them... oh well... should be easy enough to pick up when needed...)

Now to keep them safe for next year and remembe to grow from them all!

Thanks to the forum for letting me know, I woudln't have had a clue it had started otherwise...

Hannah :)

They certainly had a massive amount of stock  :ohmy:

The only thing I that I couldn't get from my list was yellow waxpod climbing beans, but I shall just have to get them elsewhere -- not rare so I am sure it'll not be difficult.

And the only extra purchase was hooligan squash  :D

Good saving of nearly £60 - bear in mind that a pack of cucumber seeds was originally £3.99 etc, so there's £3.49 straight away!!

Just need to get them in my 'filing system' now --- I like that job a lot  :D

You'd have been proud of me - went with a list and only bought 8 packets.  'Ard as nails me  :nowink:  :lol:

Well until I get the email from Real Seeds saying the new list is available on their website, then my steely resolve with crumble and I'll be in full no holds barred seed-aholic mode in an instant   :blush:

Managed to get 35 packets of seed - OH is impressed at the savings.  Most of it was veg but some flowers slipped in (oops).  Always a good bargain but may have to go back for more....... :D

Thanks for letting us know, I just got back from Spain (The first time ever that I haven't brought seeds back!)
I managed to sneak 10 minutes in the store, and only spent £5!
I had a disaster with cucumbers this year and wanted to get some different varieties for next year, but there was not a single packet there.
So I got a couple of new Tomatoes, some Chilli's, Cress for my Daughter, three types of Squash, Melon and Sweet Corn.
I may have to go back for another look...
