hi all,
just wanted 2 know if anyone has any recipes for green toms, i've got loads left and thought about a chutney but have never made anything before so im really stuck. plz help as don't want to waste anything.

i put my toms on a window ledge - and let them go red in their own time - then keep em in the fridge. they last for ages :wink:

There's plenty of time to ripen them yet...
... but I love green tomatos just sliced and fried in oil with some seasoning and a sprinkle of sugar. Lovely with your egg and bacon :D

You're right splodger. His poor old turnip head is a bit mould round the ears :lol:

green toms .. slice dry with kitchen towel ,dip in beaten egg then maize flour ,deep fry until golden . splash of basil passata on the plate ...( or basil chopped into ketchup n nuked for 20 secs

wont be the first time i cooked em fer some mates of ship with ham shanks .10 guys n 2 each lol

put the green ones with bananas it makes them ripen quicker
