Well that's our young chooks have laid their 1st egg. Look at the size of it next to a normal egg, it's like a wee quail egg.

Got my 1st tiny wee egg on Monday and they are gradually getting bigger. Boil for 1 minute lol

Think this might be sacrilage, but it was so small I didnt want to cook it, so I gave it to the dog. She enjoys the odd raw egg, shell and all!

Oh dear. You dont know what you missed!! We have been eating our wee tiny eggs every day. Grudgingly gave 1 to next door neighbour to try. Even poached 2 in 1 wee poaching dish today. Ha Ha

That is a great achievement,Congratulations. I have 14 week old pullets so I guess it will be next year before I get that action. All my other birds are old gals nobody wanted. the faithful few though I have to say. They wait for me at the back door everyday.
