Adding manure
« on: February 13, 2010, 15:13 »
The general consensus is that well rotted horse manure should be added to a plot but, is it okay to add fresh manure?? My local stable is letting me loose on the manure heap!!

But if you can get a lot of the fresh stuff, you can start a great compost pile to have on hand as needed. You can either dedicate a pile to just fresh manure or do a layered pile with any shredded paper or straw or spring plant trimmings in between layers of manure.
