i have an anderson type shelter in the new plot which i think is a nissen hut on research, the corrugated sheeting is perished and needs replacing has any one bought curved roofing in the past :?: Is it still available.

It gets used for pig arks.
haven't got a clue where you'd get it from though. I suppose you could try the small ads in the back of the smallholder magazine.

brilliant :D  :D i never thought of that there is a fellow up the road who has them  :shock:  i will go see him, see where he got them also will look in the smallholder mag,   cheers graham  the new avatar is brill by the way :D

you see lots of these at farm auctions,you could use a normal flat sheet length ways,the only downside is the rain running off

Hi

There are companies that specialise in this type of thing, but not sure if there is a minimum order, I remember driving past such a company a few months ago, I can't for my life remember where it is though.  A look on the net will probably bring something up!

Are you alowed to put propper shelters in an allotment, and grow on top of them?

I am sure I have seen companies remaking shelters.

buzzy bee i think it would depend on the site rules where you are the plot i have is a privately owned one and the hut was already there i just want to give it a new leas of life :wink:

shaun.  i thought of that and will resort to that method if the curved ones prove too expensive or unattainable.  the likelihood is that it wont be level so the rain will run off   :D  :wink:
