Title: Feeding gooseberries and gooseberries in pots
Post by: londongardener on March 04, 2013, 22:08
I have some gooseberries in the ground some in pots.
Last year the harvest was not that good.
Any ideas?
They were planted 2007-2010.
I did have some problems last year with sawfly one plant was killed by Mum because it had
sawfly (I don't understand why).

Most fruit responds to a helping of high potash feed. I use a general purpose fertilizer early in spring then high potash once they set fruit.

How big are your pots? If they are not big enough the plants will be stressed.

The two in pots were in small pots but they are in much bigger pots now.
(Sorry not a very exact size).
What fertilizer do you use and how much did it cost?
