I have two Cotswold Legbars and two Burford Browns.  They are all lovely and were eating from my hand within a week or so.  They all come up and take a fresh bit of sweetcorn from my hand now.  The legbars are notibly more flighty but not that bad.

Ive got two Light sussex and a Rhoad island red.

The rhoad island red even has its own song to the tune of "Rinestone Cowboy" (My partner is bonkers!)
I hate signatures but love irony

i have a Black Rock, a Bluebell (think these are the same as blue ranger) and a Black tail, they are all great. My Black tail is the friendliest, closely followed by the Black Rock and the Bluebell after that, she doesn't like being picked up and protests very loudly! she also is the hardest to get back into the run, especially when i am in a rush to get to work!! Im hopefully about to inherit two warrens as well in the next couple of weeks which i am very excited about!
love my chickens me! :-)

I found a breeder in the classifieds advertised on this site - www.southyeofarm.co.uk . I picked up hatching eggs and the fertility was excellent. They are 7 weeks old now and one of them is probably a cockerel as his little "horns" are a little more developed than the rest. The Owlbeards also have horns and they are near extinction, so I was quite chuffed that 4 of the six eggs hatched and all girls I think!

I have a Black Rock & a Maran cross (not sure with what), both are really friendly and were eating from the hand almost straight away. They come running down the garden when I go out there & will follow me everywhere outside. My Black Rock is probably the more friendly, she will happily jump up on my legs and roost when I sit outside. She does like to fly though (even with one wing clipped), she encourages the other to follow, hence catching them both on the fence the other evening surveying their kingdom!!

The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.” - unknown

mmmmmmm, a little too happy if you ask me, they jump up on the coop roof (via the nest box) and them up on the fence.  :nowink:
I run out there with a handful of mealworms to tempt them down......coop has now been removed for "health & safety" reasons :D
