Hi,
I know soft soap has been mentioned on here to use as a pesticide but I have never seen it in any shops. Then I wondered if it is just dituted washing up liquid Can someone let me know what it is exactly! Thanks

It's exactly what it says on the tin
It's soap but not set hard into a bar, it's all squishy so will dissolve easily in water.
Shows me age, i know, but when i was little we used to wash our hair with it and rinse it out with vinegar....OH JOY

What do we use it for and how do we apply it?

Over here we have liquid hand soap (different than washing up soap) that works just as well. You'd simply add some to a hand sprayer of water, gently swish around and start spraying. But washing up soap is also a standard in most organic homemade sprays.

Soap helps the 'formula' stick better to plant surfaces and suffocates pests who don't have lungs as such but breathe through pores in their skins.

Well thanks for that I will put an order in for some. I have used a bit of fairy diluted before on my runners and it killed off all the blackfly but wanted to get some of this.
