Hi,
For the last two years I have had problems with my strawberry plants. At first they cropped good healthy strawberries. I have thirty plants and initially harvested a kilo. Then there was a heavy day of rain and they all went soft. (In previous years I harvested a total of 3 K). After the rain, outwardly thestrawberries looked fine, but when picking them they were all soft with no firm body to them.
Reading on line suggests a disease, but I couldn't see any sign of mould so I don't think they had a disease.
I wondering if the strawberries themselves absorb rain water (I didn't have straw under the berries), or if the plants just drank in too much? Or is it a mysterious disease and I do need to dig them up and start again?
