Mite prevention
« on: June 13, 2010, 09:04 »
I have had my 4 girls for a couple of weeks.  I checked them for mites when I first got them but couldnt see any signs of them.  Should I treat them for mites just incase and if so what would be best to use.  Would a dual purpose powder or spray be best for prevention?

If your girls are clear of mites then you can use a preventive powder, there are several brand names, give them a dusting over.   You can also try things such as Johnsons Extra mite spray, spray on the back of the neck, under each wing, and the vent area (not on the vent),     nickyx
