Worm gears for tiller
« on: April 20, 2022, 17:17 »
I have a Foxhunter CJD-1002 Chinese tiller and the worm cogs are worn down and struggling to find new set.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Can't help with a supplier but that worm drive doesn't look worn out. Serious pitting, either a bad casting or, I have heard EP hypoid oil can do this to brass gearbox components. However it should run OK, or have I missed something?

Hello you probably wont find spares for  that model of tiller you'll be lucky to have a warranty on it,if you have an agricultural engineers near you see if they can make one or pop that one under a gear grinder    jezza
