I nipped up to my allotment early Saturday morning, as I was going away for the weekend. My garlic has rust. I didn't have time to do anything about it. Will it spread to my onions  :?: We have had rain and more rain and rain is forecast for today. I feel like giving the allotment up after last years potato blight, rotten onions. (By the way I do rotate my veg) The only thing is going to the plot gives me peace from 'er indoors'.

Your garlic will be OK. This humid weather brings rust with it, which means it might turn up on other crops, but it is species specific, so won't spread.

Burn foliage after harvest and airy planting can help.
