I put this on a month or so back but it appears to have got lost in the move. So here it is again ... just for the record.
For anybody who is interested in the history of allotments here is a link to a scanned copy of an advisory book on running allotments that was published in 1951 by the National Association of Parish Councils.
It is 2MB in size.
