I buy in bulk as in several bags at £1.00 per bag if you have a Home Bargains near you....think they do on-line ordering.  Dont think you'll get them any cheaper elsewhere...I searched high and low when i first got my girls.

Cheapest place to find them is on ebay. The more you buy the cheaper they work out.
The last bag I bought was 10kg for about £65. free delivery. Will last for ages :) :)

dont give them too many mealworms as they have a high fat content which is not good for our chickens x
Staffies are softer than you think.

I only use mealworms as bait  (sorry :tongue2:) to get my girls back into the run if I need to do it quickly. I trained my first 4 girls to come when I shook mealworms in an old tobacco tin. Works like a charm and the 2 new ones soon copied the others. Guaranteed to come running out from wherever they are foraging in the garden if I shake the tin and they will follow me anywhere with the promise of a worm or two. :)
Hens - Clara (Bluebell) & little newbies Martha (Black Sussex) & Dora (Speckled Maran)
RIP Margot, Geraldine, Hettie,  Ruby & Tilly :(
Cats - Herbie (LH black moggy) Louie (Seal Point Ragdoll) Jazzi (Dilute Torbie) Peggy (g&w stray)
RIP Ollie (Seal Point Ragdoll) :(
