Jeyes as an effective cleaner
« on: May 16, 2010, 08:04 »
Hi folks another question I'm afraid. I see lots of comments about various cleaners for the coops such as poultry sheild etc etc. iIuse Jeyes Fluid as I readily have it in the garden. I make up to the recommended strength for "pet" housing. Is jeyes fluid any good? or should I stick with a proprietry poultry house cleaner.
The coop gets scrubbed once a week.

Poultry shield is a good red mite preventative and treatment which is why I use it  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

We clean our chickens out once every week with poultry sheild and have never had a problem with red mites (we have had chickens for over 3 years  :) ).
