Thanks for the replys,i think ill ditch feeding them egg shells.My birds Free range over an area thats about 1.5 acresand they have a horses dung heap to pick over,they have started coming up past the house almost on to the road,the neighbourhood cats seems to have gotten some sort of message as i saw two of them scarper as soon as the cockerel came into view.

They are all young birds at 4-5 months old,the warrens are all laying but the pure breeds are not.

Should i be adding any thing to their foodstuffs? i.e cider vinegar

BTW my cockerel is the most handsome muscle bound bird ive seen,but maybee im biased

No if they are doing well don't change things and start adding supplements they don't need and detract from the balance d nutrition their compound feed provides.  When it comes to nutrition keep it simple and minimise the treats and only use supplements in response to a diagnosed feed deficiency.
