A slightly different topic...
« on: May 09, 2012, 07:44 »
... I have just resurrected an old bird box that my son made many years ago when he was a Cub. A few new bird feeders and hey presto, a couple of lovely great tits have already appeared.

I put  some straw in the box to help in stay a bit dryer. One of the tits was pulling the straw out and dropping it on the floor. Will the box need to be completely empty before a pair will"adopt" it?

Thanks

It is possible they are just looking for some nesting material but you might be lucky.

I'd let them get on with it either way.  ;)

You know what it's like. When you move into a new house, the first thing you want to do is change the decor and put your own mark on it.   ::) We're all the same.
