Years ago when I was a child we had a gander and goose called Nina and Fredrick (showing my age now) Nina god trampled on by one of the cows and died. Fredrick was very lonely and my father re-homed him with a good neighbouring farmer. They had a menagerie of all sorts of fowl including geese. We used to visit regularly and he was very happy.
