We have also been having homemade soup this week also.
My 17 year old hates soup as a rule, now it's just tinned soup she doesn't really like.

Makes it so much easier that she has been receptive to homemade ones.  :D

I love homemade soup.  Spent the day a few weeks ago making big pots of minestrone, potato and leek, butternut squash and sweetpotato and vegetable soup then froze it in individual portions.

Think I need to stock up again as most of it is gone.

I've been making my own soup for years and now I can't eat tinned stuff it seems to taste of anything but what's supposed to be in it, and they now don't put any salt in.  Maybe that's what the problem is.  Tele chefs are always insistent on the seasonings, I'm surprised the cooking police haven't clamped down.

You and me both Cazzy.   :) An (English) friend of mine once said to me "all Scottish ladies make great soup".   :D All the ones I know, do.  ;)

Livinhope, I totally agree, I bought some tinned soup must be over a year ago now.  I don't know what posessed me, it must have been on special.......... It didn't even taste like food lol.

Argyllie, that must be true, my mother can't/doesn't cook, lives on frozen or tinned stuff but boy can she make a pot of soup and she sends big tubs of it home with my brother and myself.
