My first tomato
« on: December 16, 2010, 19:48 »
well in the summer I bought 3 tomato plants which were different to the normal.  One was for a black tomato, one was a climber and one was "some thing else"

I am ashamed to say I neglected them due to several family reasons.  But when the weather got really bad I looked at the plants with a view of bringing them onto the kitchen window legde.  2 were nearly dead but one showed signs of life and a couple of flowers.

For thew last 4 weeks it has had a small green tomato, not even enough to make a green tomato chutney to fill a soup spoon, so I left it.  This morning I have a nice ripe red tomato!!

OKAY SO ITS THE SIZE OF A MARBLE!!!   BUT NEXT YEAR.

LOL

That's very impressive, given the weather we've had!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
