Hi All, my first post.

I currently live in a flat and need some advice regarding where to keep gardening tools if I go ahead and get an allotment.

What do you guys do? Keep them in a shed on site? How much does a shed cost?

I guess I will need a spade, secatuers, fork and trowel.

Welcome to the forums!  If space is going to be an issue at home then keeping the tools on your site would be the best option.  It would also save you carrying them around!

You could get a decent sized basic shed for about £100 if you shop around(even cheaper in places in the sales at the moment!)  Or, you could look at a smaller tool store which is basically a small box if you are limited for space on your allotment.

welcome.  also depends on things like vandalism, kids often decide to set sheds on fire or just rip them apart, might be worth asking when you get your plot is they have much trouble, you'll be able to see if others have sheds

good advice there.
I keep my shed unlocked, because our local "luvs" will break into anything unlocked.
This forums site owner, John, has written a very good, easy to read book, that should be first on your list of tools!
(and I don't get any back-handers for each one I sell for him.)
