Title: New Henhouse!!
Post by: YoungChickenLover on October 30, 2012, 21:30
Hi! Haven't been here in months (due to drowning in schoolwork :(), but thought I'd come back :). We've decided to get more chickens, and so have had our field next door sorted out, and we're getting a beautiful new chicken house!! It will accommodate up to 20 chooks, and has red mite reppelents built in, along with a pull out tray, which will make cleaning the house much easier :) Getting my new girls in the Spring/Summer, alongside a puppy!!
Hope everyone (and thier girls!)is/are well
Leila  :)

Well, for red mite info the house is painted with a specially formulated repellent, the roof is comprised of Canadian cedar shingles and the walls of the house is wood outside, but with a piece of metal inbetweeners that and the inside wall, which itself is not wood (hard to describe the exact material, but I'll expand on it when the house is here!). The house looks very pretty from the outside, like a Wendy house/traditional chicken house hybrid. It's from Feathers Animal Housing, who do the most brilliant houses ever!! I'll post some pictures when its here and the weathers not so horrific!!  :)
