Short and tidy raspberries?
« on: November 28, 2013, 13:34 »
Hi

I'd like to put half a dozen raspberries in one of the beds in our PT but I don't want them to 'take over' too much.

Are there any short cane varieties?

TIA

Adri

I'm not at all sure that raspberries would do well in a poly - they are really a cool climate crop and I think you'd probably struggle to stop them frying! They also require insects to pollinate them.

Others may disagree.............

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

You're right.  Forgot about the heat issue.  Scrap the raspberries then...
