What a great little film, thanks.
It was really nice to see a small slice of a lifestyle that is in no way glamorous but is reality as it should be shown. I loved, loved, loved seeing all the lined faces, their total acceptance of someone who told us frankly about his life-changing problems and the passion for the birds that they all conveyed.
I thought that mankind owes a lot to these rare birds that we are now in danger of losing 69% of. And I cried when the ducks were taken by the dogs.

Couldn't agree more nippy...after watching, the programmme's title became doubly relevant. It is such a crippling,tortured illness is depression and those birds and all the keepers and breeders were a wonderful advert for anyone to give even a few backyard chooks a go.
Worth crowing about! Inspirational. Way to go Mark Tully!
Wouldn't mind getting to the Devenport, Tasmania Poultry Show myself some day!!
