We have had an apple tree for 3 years but we need to move it, when is a good time to do it. Ideally I would like to move it sooner. It has had a few fruits but not many so think it needs to move to a better location.

Shift it now while asleep.  Dig as big a root ball as you can, sprinkle well rotted manure into the hole before inserting the tree, press well down and fingers crossed.
