Title: Monty's fruit and veg storage drawers
Post by: Bohobumble on April 14, 2015, 10:22
I had a quick search here and came up with nothing, so I hope I'm not repeating anyone!

I have been watching the latest series of Gardeners' World on iPlayer this weekend and noted that Monty had a massive racking system of metal draws with holes pierced in to store apples etc.  Is this a thing? Or has this been purpose built?

A goggle search pulls up wooden things with chicken wire... no good for my purposes :/

I have a wooden slotted-sliding-shelf store for my Apples. Its a nice old fashioned piece which I picked up on my travels ... it has a little door on one side that closes and padlocks preventing the drawers being opened - and stopping your staff from nicking all your apples!  Haven't seen the episode with Monty's in it as yet, but sounds like this is not what you are looking for.  Modern (smaller) wooden ones like this are readily available though.

Conversation with my, then, 5-year old went something like this:

"What are you getting Mummy for her birthday"
"I've got her an Apple Rack"
"WOW! AN APPLE MAC? WOW!"
