Title: Runner Beans - Bendy or Snappy?
Post by: andyww2013 on August 16, 2019, 07:24
Hi,

To avoid stringy runner beans is best to pick ones that bend or ones that snap?

If they snap in two with a clean break - there's no strings!

does it not depend on what type you are growing?

Some beans are advertised as stringless but probably aren't if you leave them on too long. Just pick a medium one, snap it in two and see if there's any strings attached to them.
