I've got a grape vine. I have had it for a few years now and only got one decent bunch of grapes off it. Last year there were loads AND loads of little bunches but the grapes stayed really small (although we did have a bad summer). This year it is re-growing and i am hoping for better results.

I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere that you should thin those small bunches of grapes out fairly heavily in order to enable the plant to concentrate on bulking up the remaining bunches.

Might be worth a try?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Ah, last year was pants for grapes here, too.

Lakemont is said to be a good little number, good luck with it , Janie. Could put your location in your profile, mind.

Apologies for hijacking the thread,   but...

We're thinking of getting a vine or 2, does anyone have any suggestions of varieties to get hold of (for eating, not the wine types) or any tips for the novice?

Thanks
