I rent an allotment (my first year) and I am starting to harvest the plums and I have been told that I can make a gin from them, which could be ready for Christmas, the person who told me spoke very quickly and I didnt quite understand what to do! please could someone advise how this is done and is it hard? many thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum. I`ve made damson gin which is easy, i use 1lb of fruit ,1 bottle of gin and a cup of sugar in a large mouth bottle and give it a shake once a week till Christmas.

IMHO sloe gin is a much better use of gin, but try the winemaking and brewing forum for more info.
