I'm thinking of doing this 50/50 apple juice and grape juice. Anyone ever done this?

Got a batch of TC in the airing cupboard. It's been fermenting frantically for about a week!
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.

Has anyone tried to keep the turbo cider for any length of time? I fancy making some to put away for a few months & wondered if it would be ok. CC

Used the turbo cider method but used red grape juice instead. Just an experimental two litre batch. Fermenting nicely at the moment. I'll keep you posted.

Any thoughts about adding yeast nutrient to this maybe?

Hi You can get a 6% turbo cider drinkable if you like stilll cider in about a week two weeks if you prime for fizzy cider, you dont need extra sugar to achive this there is enough in store bought apple juice if you get 10% or more it is a apple wine not cider.......Fred
2 x Warrens, 5 x ex batts, 3 x Daughters, 5 x grandsons, 1 x granddaughter, 1 x wife, this is enough for 1 x man

So Fred, what do I do, just add some yeast to the apple juice? or is it more complicated than that? Catherine

Go back to the first post where AF tells you what to. I've got two lots on the go. One with 2lbs of sugar, and one with 1lb. It really is that easy. Cleanliness and air lock essential though.

Hi Catherine all you do is buy 5 litres of apple juice put 3 litres in demijohn add a teaspoon of yeast and away you go, when vigoriuos fermentation stops after a couple of days top up to kneck with the rest of apple juice whats left drink, it takes about a week as i said in first post if you want fizzy cider prime with half a teaspoon of sugar per pint wait another week and enjoy-----Fred

Quick question to prime do I just ad a teaspoon of sugar to the pet bottle? Just regular white sugar or do I have to boil the sugar in water first?

Mine's still, so I've used screw top wine bottles. Fizzy mineral water bottles would work, so long as you don't pit too much sugar in to prime them. Half a teaspoonful per litre?
