"Brew fridge"  seemed to spark a reaction,  :D   I made mine a couple of years back, easy way to keep any brew..(wine or beer) at the correct temp. Well worth it for the cost of around £25...takes the guess work and worry out of it.

Yep, mine sits in the kitchen and in the winter I have a heat belt.  It would be nice to temperature control.

The controller that I've got works well, it's an old model now, but the new ones are even smaller.

Test run, just to make sure I'd wired it up correct..

The newer type on Ebay.. Click   are cheaper than what I payed for mine a few years back...

Can't believe I was eyeing up my outside fridge/freezer today re possible conversion!  ::)  Mind you, my taste buds are not too good so I'm not sure I'd notice a bit of irregular fermentation.....

Anyway, I started my first kit today and it's the Merlot.  I couldn't decide on the Shiraz or the Chardonnay (purchased last week) and just happened to be perusing the selection at Wilko when a couple more kits jumped into my trolley!

So, what with that and the iBrew Shiraz kit, and the Wilko Mexican beer kit (recommended by a friend and now in one of the pressure barrels), I think I should be ok for a while.   :tongue2:

My family and friends are definitely up for the challenge of supplying me with their empties so I should be all set in a few weeks.  In the meantime, I'm looking for a more energy friendly solution in the form of 20L bags as it will save sterilising all those bottles.  :D.

Showoff!

This is what I was looking for.  Reusable polypins and at a good price (5, 10 & 20L).  Putting the link here so I can find it again.  :)

Sparky maybe bottle it on into 4 pint milk bottles.  Perhaps the air is getting to it.

Capt Zero is recommending 4 pint milk bottles.  Thats 2.2 liters.  A bottle is 0.75 liters so 30 bottles is 22.5 liters requiring 11 milk bottles.

It's not the storage so much Bob as the room needed to make it ! I will look in more detail . Top of the freezer is out as I have two large jars of peaches in brandy sat there  :)

You need room for a 25 liter bucket.  You really don't need an airlock.  After seven days you can go directly to the milk bottles.  I dunno how long the wine will last in them.  Auntie Mog will find that out we hope. :D
