carefull with this mind... I know someone who never calls diapers 'nappies' as we all call them over here; she gives them the full name of napkins... could be a bit messy!

My mum uses our old toothbrushes for the taps and the dog's teeth. (one for each!) I came back from uni, having forgot my toothbrush, walked out of the bathroom whilst chatting to mum and trying to brush them at the same time. The look on her face, then the look on my face when she told me the truth. I was not a happy bunny. And yes, it was the one used on the dog.

Love this thread, the idea that people iron J cloths

I have cotton dish cloths and they go in with the washing and when OH used to fly on business I used to get him to collect up the flannel things that the posh people in business class get to wipe their hand on

I haven't died of using the sponge things to wash up and I also bung the dish brushes and nail brushes in the dishwasher every now and again.

Hanging your washing out in the sunshine kills the bugs! I don't do bleach cos we are not on main drains but I use white vinegar if I'm feeling like we might catch something from the kitchen surfaces

he's never understood domestic stuff - well that's what he says
