Butterfly net?
« on: April 07, 2009, 19:07 »

Hopefully this will keep away the cabbage whites this year

Gotta try something this year, after most of my brassicas were decimated last year.
Can but hope!!!!

Just drive some nails into your base board and hook them on that, it's how we fasten our nets and it'll save you getting blamed for the national coat hanger shortage ;)

I have got to say that is some water works system you have in the back ground  :tongue2:

At first glance i thought it was a painted goal

As a new grower are butterflys that savage ?

I may have to rig up something similar if that is the case.  :(

The water system, bits won from various jobs done in the past.
Always looking for more barrels...no water on site...the houses behind have
bib taps ...but not for us plotters to use  :('ly
The old air raid shelter is mine to use, fitted an old door and mortice lock,

Well i better be getting plenty more netting then

I have no water supply either, got 3 barrels set up and just waiting for my shed to rig up my own water system, hoping to make a continuous barrel to barrel flowing system.

On this score is it true that midgies lay their eggs in your water barrel if it isnt sealed ?
