Soil preparation for root crops.
« on: September 30, 2012, 12:46 »

Nice easy self explanetary statement, just the thing to type into a 'leading search engine' - looking for a little advice or tips as it is a well known fact round our way that "These allotments are no good for carrots".

- - Why are the first page and a half of results all from t'other side of t'pond?   How can I elect to have results from Blighty?    I've even elected to go for the search engine with a prominent U.K. just below the title!

How do I do it chums? ? ?   ???

Cheers,    Tony.

Or append uk onto the end of your search string. :)

Is your question how to do the internet search, or how to prepare the soil for carrots?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Thanks for ALL your informative answers.

I was just using that subject to get your interest, Tee Hee. :)

I'll search for the left hand side mum'.  Searched and I can't see what you mean?
Cheers,   Tony.

Enter your search subject on Google and then when the list of sites appears, if you look in the left hand margin, about halfway down the page,  it says pages from the UK if you click on that it reduces the number listings  ;)

Found the 'left hand side' and clicked on the button.  Looking for a failsafe recipe for bread - using Brit measures and I encounter this:

"Years ago I attended a 'Super Saturday' in Salem with my sister. The State President's wife was there teaching a bread class".Is that Salem in Shropshire ?  I think an explanation should be forthcoming? :D

Cheers,    Tony.
