Zephyr Courgette
« on: April 09, 2017, 21:57 »
Has anyone grown this variety? If so, could it be trained to grow vertically? I'm economizing on space but also want to minimise fungal disease by increasing air circulation.

TIA
Grow lights for early germination;
Blow away on NE facing terrace for hardening off;
Small potager 90sq.m at 300metres
No-dig method, intensive planting and incorporating permaculture principles.

I did grow last 2 years. it is heavy plant, grows in all directions .so you might need a strng trellis, which might also give lot of shade to other crops. round yellow variety sounds same texture and flavour like zephyr, but cmpact and can be grown upwards too.
