Could it be some sort of Brunnera? (the first picture) - they often have variegated leaves, but I'm sure I've seen some without the variegation.... ???

The top one looks like a Brunnera (perrenial Forget-me-not) - does it have blue Forget-me-not-like flowers in spring? It could also be a plain-leaved Pulmonaria - does it have red or blue flowers that are bigger than a Brunnera and are not Forget-me-not-like but bigger and more like a Penstemon-type flower in spring? The other one is definitely a Salvia.
