My Oh bought a carbon steel dutch hoe at the "T" shop yesterday - so what I hear you ask? It cost all of 12p.

send him back,see if they have anymore,i'll pay you the p&P.
ours never give anything away,think it depends on the managment.

aw nuts! I was in our local one today but didn't check out the gardening stuff cos I was on my dinner ::)
What I did get though was a free doohickey that turns veg into spirals just for watching a fella demonstrate a knife! Would have bought the knives too but I only had £5 on me :lol:

. . . and last night he picked up a cultivator for 47p! they have really nice stainless steel spades and forks too, but they are still at £3.00.

just been to st neots,nothing quite as fortuitus as sunlover,but hoes and rakes were reduced from £5.00 to £1.25.
so i got one of each,a girl cant have too many tools handy.
