Interesting one...

So the first would be the legendary Brian Clough.
He was a propper character, bumped into psycho (Stuart Pearce) at a punk gig and had a little chat about him.

Second up will be the only original punk that I have not met, Poly Styrene. Never got to see Xray Specs or see her perform.

Left over sausage and bean casserole, yesterdays spuds went in the water though so more mash needed. Hopefully that was user error over cooking them and the entire bag wont behave the same.

Wet, after raining most of the evening and night and just 15C. It's also back to being dark and grey.

Well, after a fridge sort out, I've found some mozzarella cheese I need to use up. So it's time for a pasta & veg bake.

Grow Your Own / Re: Strawberries not thriving

Vine weevils love strawberries, and their grubs do significant damage to the roots.

Nematodes are said to be effective and would not attack other creatures.

When is the best time to apply the nematodes?

Early visit to Plot 13 to beat the heat.... Made the first comfrey and nettle tea batches of the year, gave the asparagus and potatoes a seaweed feed and then weeded the whole plot before the little beggars get too big  After a couple of hot dry days the soil in the beds is looking dreadful, grey, dry and cracked plus full of stones. 2024 looks like the year I am mostly going to be putting in some serious work improving the soil in each bed!

Get some well rotted manure/mulch and just apply to the top of your beds, leave the worms to take it in, conserves moisture too

Chatting on the Plot / Re: How much TV do you watch
« Last post by snowdrops on Today at 10:33 »
I have the TV on most evenings, although to be fair I also tend to have the laptop on. The degree of attention that each gets, depends on how interesting the TV is!

Much the same for me, I do have the tv on in the kitchen whilst dinner is being cooked if I’m the one cooking & keep an eye on pointless, then have the news on whilst we eat, but I can’t always hear it as himself has an opinion on everything  :wacko even though he doesn’t want it on! Then once I’m settled for the evening tv is on usually but I’ve got my iPad open(stops me nodding off  :D) or I’m getting back into reading novels & so I read. If himself is watching something I really don’t like I take my book to bed. Summer usually sees me not sitting down til 9ish or in the conservatory etc so no tv at all then & I don’t miss it. Different I think if you live alone & don’t want to be surrounded by silence

Hello all!
First post here, I found these custom made greenhouse guttering attachments and they are brilliant!
I found them on Etsy and the seller was very good at making sure they fit my greenhouse perfectly rather than just a off the shelf adapter. I'd bought 3 different off the shelf ones and none of them fit that well, but these are perfect! 10 out of 10 would recommend.
The seller sends you a little tester to help get the fit just right and made sure it fitted my greenhouse before the final adapters are made, no more hope required that these will work  :D
