Can you put it indiscriminately on any ground you intend to use for any veg, or are there some veg which don't like it?  Also, do you have to put it on fresh?

More or less everything apart from root crops like carrots and parsnips as it makes them fork. Spuds love it and so do squash, pumpkins,courgettes etc. Beans don't really need it but they need plenty of water which manure and compost hold on to. Don't over do brassicas as they can get a bit leggy and don't heart up as well. Best to have a rotation plan so every area gets manured every 3 or more years.

not on ground where you will put carrots (it makes them fork,ie the tips split in two and you have a disfigured carrot)  manure shouldn't be fresh, you need to let it rot down, but if you dig it in this time of the year it will be fine by the time you plant in spring, but fresh manure can scorch leaves of excisting plants
