waterproofing fabric
« on: September 29, 2012, 19:09 »
I had to wash my lightweight waterproof coat...........it had washing instructions, which I followed.
Now it is no longer properly waterproof  :( and I don't want to buy another one, as I've only just bought a new fleece liner for it ::)

Can anybody recommend a reproofing spray, that won't alter the appearance of the cloth

Not a spray, but Granger's Extreme wash-in re-proofer. Put through a wash cycle then heat activates it. Tumble dryer or iron or even hairdryer. :)

If you are unable to get the Granger stuff, you can use a product called Storm wash in waterproofer, my brother uses it on his motorcycling clothing and swears by it.
