Hi guys I have moved into my own new office but unfortunately it does not have any windows facing directly outside.  It has one that overlooks a bright workshop though.

What sort of plant would be ok to have in this situation?  It is fairly warm but and bright when I'm here but I go out on site visits some of the time and when I'm out the lights are turned off.

Are there any chilli/pepper types that would do ok?  I'm open to suggestions of anything that can be grown from seed at home and brought in to brighten the place up,

Cheers

Nothing will survive long term with no natural light - your best bet would be to get 2-3 shade tolerant houseplants, keep 2 at home in ideal conditons & the third in the office, then when it starts to look poorly, swap it with one of the ones at home.  by rotating them, you should be able to keep something green in your office at all times!  Don't bother with edible crops as they will need more light.

Spider plants are about as indestructible as you get, although I agree they won't tolerate the conditions forever.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
