« on: December 15, 2011, 20:50 »
we have experienced in recent weeks very windy weather i came out the other morning to find my tunnel had been ripped open by the ferocity of the wind i quickly repaired it with some poly tape i had by me for emergencies

but i see the tape is lifting whats the best way of repairing the poly sheeting and the best tape to use

do you need to clean the poly sheet round the damaged area and repair inside and out
any help much appreciated

We bought some clear repair tape from eBay, probably two years ago so sorry I can't tell you exactly which one and from where, but something like THIS would be what you should look out for. You'll probably get instructions with a half decent tape too.

I've used the very tape that Argylie mentions to good effect. Try to have the tunnel cover as dry and clean as possible and tape both sides of the tear. I put a few strips at 90 degrees to the tear for a bit extra strength.
